Overview

This summary report of the 2016 Year-End Poll of Employers presents actual 2016 hiring data and 2017 hiring projections for graduate management students, as reported by 167 employers worldwide. It is a followup to the larger Corporate Recruiters Survey conducted in the spring of 2016 and provides a quick shapshot of the hiring forecast for business school graduates in 2017. A more detailed version of this report was sent directly to all survey participants.



Quick Facts

  • The vast majority of employers who responded to the Year-End Poll of Employers (96%) say hiring recent business school graduates creates value for their companies.
  • Nearly 8 in 10 (79%) employers expect to hire MBA graduates in 2017. Of this group, 78% plan to hire as many or more of these candidates than they did in 2016.
  • A majority of employers plan to increase starting annual base salaries in 2017 at or above the rate of inflation for new MBA hires.
