What is Operation MBA?
Operation MBA is a program begun in early 2005 by GMAC. Through this program, GMAC™ is talking to active and reserve military personnel (and civilians in military support positions) about the value of a graduate business degree combined with military experience.
What is the value of Operation MBA for graduate business schools?
The military offers a large and often untapped market for graduate business schools. More than 200,000 officers in the U.S. armed forces rank below colonel or the equivalent—career officers and those leaving their service branches bring a unique perspective to business school curriculum. Although our current data reflects only the market among U.S. military personnel, we believe the skills developed in military service around the world lend themselves to graduate management education.
