Updated GMAT Mobile App From GMAC Includes Integrated Reasoning

Mobile Version of 'Official Guide for GMAT(R) Review, 13th Edition' Available

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2012) - Graduate Management Admission Council's Official Guide for GMAT® Review, 13th Edition mobile app is now available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The new edition includes access to the Integrated Reasoning online prep tool to help test takers prepare for the latest section of the GMAT exam.

"The new mobile app now allows test takers to study for all sections of the test, including Integrated Reasoning. The app is a fun, engaging and effective way to put your prep efforts in the palm of your hand," said Andy Martelli, GMAC vice president, new product development.

The Integrated Reasoning section, which was added to the GMAT exam on June 5, 2012, measures skills related to using data to solve complex problems -- skills useful in business as well as in business school.

The mobile version of the best-selling Official Guide for GMAT Review, 13th Edition allows test takers to study for the GMAT exam with questions retired from the actual exam, along with full answer explanations.

Also new for this edition, users can:

  • Customize the number of questions to display in each practice or exam session.
  • Select multiple Verbal or Quantitative question formats to display in each practice or exam session.
  • Have six months' access to four Integrated Reasoning questions at that section's online tool.

The Official Guide mobile app will continue to allow users to:

  • Track their progress through the entire review.
  • Practice pacing for the real exam using the app's built-in timer.
  • Register to take the GMAT exam directly.
  • Find a GMAT Test Center via the Test Center Locator.

The app is priced at US$4.99 and includes review modules; 50 Verbal and Quantitative questions; access to four Integrated Reasoning questions at the IR component website; answer explanations; exam preparation resources; and an app tutorial.

An additional practice question Power Pack, which includes more than 750 Verbal and Quantitative questions, as well as access to 46 more Integrated Reasoning questions, can be purchased directly from the app as well as in the iTunes Store and is priced at US$29.99.

The Official Guide 13th Edition product is available through www.mba.com/store, the Apps Store on Apple mobile devices, as well as in the iTunes store, where it was listed in the "New and Noteworthy" section. The Android version of the 13th Edition will launch later in 2012.
