Join an Advisory Group

Play an integral role in designing the agenda for our different conferences targeting the business school community by helping us identify the key issues to be discussed. You will have the opportunity to connect with and influence your peers from around the world and be recognized as a strategic leader in graduate management education.

Typically, Advisory Group members participate in several virtual planning meetings to share best practices and plan content, provide session ideas based on industry knowledge of trending issues, review and vote on session ideas generated, and, in most cases, participate in sessions as panelists or expert presenters.

1. Annual Conference

The Annual Conference welcomes 650+ professionals representing business schools worldwide. The event is designed to address challenges and to provide the highest quality programming on a variety of topics, such as digital marketing; equitable access to education; data analytics; navigating the new recruiting and admissions landscape and more. The Annual Conference Advisory Group starts in December and ends in June when the conference is delivered.

2. Leadership Conference

The GMAC Leadership Conference offers leaders with strategic level responsibility representing business schools worldwide the opportunity to gather in an intimate setting to learn, share insights and discuss the issues that are shaping the global management education community. Academic and administrative program-level Deans and Directors managing a program, or a portfolio of programs discuss a myriad of issues including resourcing, managing teams, skills delivery, student engagement and trends shaping GME. Leadership conference advisory group volunteers are engaged from September through January when the event is delivered.

3. European or Asia Conferences

Regional Conferences cover marketing best practices, innovation in admissions, and the impact of data and technology in recruitment – providing a comprehensive experience that will prepare and inspire participants in key regions for current and future challenges. Regional Conference Advisory Groups work from May through November when the conference is delivered.

4. Masters Leadership Symposium

This event is designed specifically for school professionals with strategic responsibility for business master’s programs around the world. Associate Deans, Program Directors and other b-school leaders meet once a year to explore market trends and gain perspective around the challenges and opportunities faced by this important segment of the graduate management education industry.

Present at a Conference or Lead a Workshop

We gather conference session ideas through a Call for Proposal process for each event, which opens around the Advisory Group kick-off meeting. However, you may be interested in leading a workshop or joining a session under development to share your experience, engage with a global audience, and contribute to the professional development of your peers.
