  • Globally, women are more likely than male and non-binary candidates to indicate a preference for study in online or hybrid programs (27% of women).
  • Interest in online programs has risen globally since 2019; 16 percent of candidates preferred online in 2019 vs. 22 percent of candidates in 2022. 
  • A plurality of candidates who prefer to study online (37%) are now interested in studying outside their country of citizenship.
