2010 Global Management Education Graduate Survey Report cover

This report includes major findings and provides context for results from the 2010 Global Management Education Graduate Survey.

Overview

The Global Management Education Graduate Survey is an annual survey of graduate management education students in their final year of business school. The survey is distributed several months prior to graduation to the students at participating business schools.

This survey allows students to express their opinions about their education, the value of their degrees, and what they intent to do with their degrees after graduation I addition to other topics. In addition, some post graduate employment information is collected via this survey for those who are actively involved with a job search at the time.

Quick Facts

  • Graduating students were significantly more optimistic about the economy in general as compare to the previous year but were less likely to have received job offers.
  • Average salary increases for those who had received a job offer were similar to increases offered to the class of 2009.
  • Finance/accounting, products/services, and consulting fields continue to be the most sought after fields among the student population.
