Overview

This brief summarizes the findings of the Preliminary Application Trends Survey that GMAC conducted in February 2017 among 752 graduate business programs worldwide, including 324 U.S. MBA programs. The report highlights the impact of the November U.S. presidential election on trends in applications to U.S. schools from international students. The survey findings show that the U.S. election results are having a negative impact on international student applications to both MBA and master's programs at U.S. business schools for the 2017 application cycle.

The brief includes updated results through May 2017 of ongoing GMAC research of international students asked about their likelihood to study in the United States as a result of the 2016 US election.
