New Technology Leader Brings Education and Transformative Digital Experience to GMAC
RESTON, Va. (Oct. 9, 2018) – The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), an association of leading business schools, today announced the appointment of Kevin LeFew as the Council’s Chief Technology Officer.
In this role, LeFew will oversee the Council’s architecture and technology vision and long-term strategy, focusing on digital transformation efforts that will position GMAC to deliver a superior digital experience supporting the broad range of services the organization provides to the graduate management education industry. LeFew will also serve as GMAC’s Chief Security Officer.

Kevin has a very important role in GMAC’s short- and long-term strategic success.”
LeFew’s career spans more than 25 years in the technology and information services arena. Most recently, as a principal for the D.C.-based firm Infinitive, LeFew worked with clients in the education sector, leading product, process and technology strategies required to compete in today’s digital space.
Earlier in his career, LeFew served as Senior Vice President of Technology Services for The Teaching Company, a leading developer of learning and enrichment products, based in Chantilly, Va. He led the company’s efforts to develop a digital platform for content distribution and consumption through integrated catalog, marketing, call center, eCommerce, app experiences, streaming products and order fulfillment. LeFew was also the Vice President, Technology and Operations for the Gannett Company from 2006-2010. LeFew holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the George Washington University.

LeFew will be an officer of the organization, based at the organization’s Reston, Virginia location.
