Graduate Management Admission Council Awarded “Best in Benefits” for D.C.-area Employers

RESTON, Va. —  November 6th, 2018– The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has been recognized as a 2018 Best in Benefits employer in the Greater D.C. Area by the Insurance Exchange.

The Best in Benefits designation recognizes companies participating in the Mid-Market Benefits Survey, sponsored by Milliman, the world’s largest independent third-party actuarial firm. The survey evaluates and then scores the employer’s benefits package, based on several criteria, including:

  • Benefits plan designs and premiums
  • Employee contribution strategies
  • Cost control initiatives and future trends
  • Wellness and disease management

“GMAC is proud to offer a highly attractive and market-competitive benefits package to our employees around the world,” said Vibha Jain Miller, GMAC’s Vice President, Human Resources. “We know it’s not just about health insurance anymore, and that the benefits landscape has a lot of complexity. We listen to our employees and have designed GMAC’s suite of benefits to provide the flexible resources and programs that our associates need to thrive, both personally and professionally. We also review our offerings every year to make sure we are competitive and at the forefront of what we can offer our growing workforce.”

GMAC’s comprehensive benefits focus on overall employee wellness, featuring medical, dental, vision, prescription and disability coverage, along with a full suite of financial and personal well-being support, career development and flexible leave.

Over the past seven years, an average of 5,000 employers have participated in the Mid-Market Benefits Survey on the national level. Over 100 mid-market employers in the D.C. area participated in this year’s survey, ranging from 50-5,000 employees.
